The case has rounded edges, is made of steel with a vinyl covering, and has fitted foam padding to house a micrometer and adjustment wrench (sold separately). The case is an accessory for use with a Starrett micrometer that measures to 1 inch (25 mm) in the series 221, 226, 226M, 230, 23M, 426, 436.1, 1230, or 1230M (sold separately). Outside micrometers may also be called micrometer calipers, and are precision measuring instruments used to measure the length, width, or outside diameter of an object. The L.S.
