Superbar Interview in NST

Didn’t I say that things better things were coming in Superbar’s direction? We were recently interviewed and featured on the New Straits Times (Adlin: thanks for the interview man) For those of you who missed it, fret not, we’ve taken the liberty of scanning the article here.
In the interview, Bala had decided to let out a big Superbar secret - why our songs do not stick to the normal 3 minutes you’d normally expect on the radio, but instead chooses to stray past 4 minutes and well into 6 minutes in the case of “Same Way I Do”. Read on. Get to know a little about the band’s humble beginnings from front man, Chak.
We’ve even created a whole new genre for alternative rock: metrosexual rock. Talk about trailblazing! Curious? Check us out at the Klue Starbucks Music Series on 21, 22 & 27 Oct. We’ll be playing along side Jerome Kugan, Izzy, Rhapsody and Kluk Kluk Adventure.
In keeping up with changing times and technologies, Superbar has finally embraced the wonders of social networking by being part of the Myspace community. Be sure to check out our Myspace segment, with samples of our soon to be released EP and other interesting updates.
Lied
Just wanted to post something here about a band that’s starting to make waves. For those of you who have watched 8TV’s Homegrown last week, the band’s called Lied and their sound is reminiscent to that of Tool and A Perfect Circle, with some influences from the spacey sounds of Depeche Mode (at least that’s what I think lah!)
Anyway, you may ask, why is this so important? Well, that’s because the band comprises of none other that Superbar’s very own rhythm guitarist, Sen Kiat & drummer, Ajuon! Besides Homegrown, they recently performed an acoustic set on Xfresh.fm and most recently there’s a write up on them in The Star.
A sign of better things to come for Superbar as well? Let’s keep our fingers crossed. Btw, the Starbucks Music Series, in which we’re playing in starts next week. Be there by the bus loads!!
